The history of Champagne Montaudon began in 1891 when Auguste-Louis arrived in Epernay as a chief winemaker. Tradition and a passion for winemaking would subsequently be passed down through four generations of the Montaudon family.

Auguste-Eugène, the son of Auguste-Louis, showed a truly enterprising spirit and witnessed his first commercial success against the backdrop of the Roaring Twenties. It was during this era that Champagne Montaudon would become the ‘top-tier’ Champagne at a famous Parisian cabaret.

Philippe, representing the third generation, established tight-knit relationships with Champagne producers and introduced a process to monitor the quality of the House’s wines. His son Luc subsequently consolidated the company’s business activities in many markets, transforming Champagne Montaudon and its red M into an established, renowned brand.

The company joined the Alliance Champagne group, which since then has perpetuated its craftsmanship The style and heritage of Montaudon are encapsulated in each of its Champagnes with the same passion. We produce our champagnes from grapes harvested in Champagne’s finest vineyard sites. The hallmark aromatic stamp of black grapes lends them a unique and recognisable style.
